About Us

Whykins makes one thing: a book for the child who never stops asking why. "10,000 Whys" is a hardcover encyclopedia written for kids aged 6 to 12, with short, clear answers to the questions they actually ask. Why is the sky blue, why do we dream, how do volcanoes work, what happened to the dinosaurs. It started with a parent who ran out of answers at bedtime and wanted something better than "look it up later." Ours puts the answers in the child's hands, in language they can read on their own, with pictures on every spread. It gets carried to the sofa, opened at random, and argued over at the dinner table. Every copy is the same: a thick hardcover built to survive small hands, hundreds of questions across space, animals, the human body, oceans, weather and history, and a curiosity that lasts long after the last page.
